This programme has been designed to meet industry needs and will be delivered by SETU Associate lecturers who work in industry as National Programme Managers, Supply Chain Management specialists as well as Leaders and Lecturers in Organisational Change. The lecturers have accumulated great knowledge in their own particular field and this level of knowledge is demonstrated through years of experience within their subject area.

Who is this programme for?
This very practical programme has been designed for anyone who is involved in or hopes to be involved in management and who wants to:
- Provide effective leadership to their team or organisation and
understand the role that emotional intelligence plays in effectively
leading others. - Understand that if operational management is the “what” a company
does, strategic management is the “how” it does things. - Develop valuable transferable personal and professional skills while
introducing participants to the basic skills of project management,
decision-making, problem solving, team working and communications.
Modules
- Strategic Management of Operations
- Project Management and Communication Skills
- Practical Leadership for Enhanced Performance
In addition, students will select three topics from the
following:
- Cost Efficiency
- Energy Sustainability
- Logistical Competency
- Good Manufacturing Practice
- Supply Chain Management
These will be presented in a workshop format and will be delivered by subject-matter experts.
Programme Delivery
All modules will be presented online one day per week (day to be agreed) from 9:30 – 16:00 and will involve
lectures, class discussion, problem solving exercises, case studies, readings as well as self-directed learning
opportunities.
Further Study Opportunities
On successful completion of the Certificate in Leadership & Operational Management, applicants may apply for
the Certificate in Advanced Incident Command Management / 10 ECTS / Level 8.
Students will also be eligible for exemptions on the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Leadership & Operational
Management / 60 ECTS / Level 8.
Entry Requirements
Applicants who are over 23 years of age are eligible for entry onto the programme as mature students. Those
under 23 years must meet CAO entry requirements for higher level education
